1. Return Window
You have 14 days from the date of receipt to submit a return or exchange request.
2. How to Start a Return or Exchange
Every order includes a prepaid return label inside your package.
To begin:
- Scan the QR code on your invoice or visit Return & Exchange portal
- Enter your order ID and email address
- Select your preferred resolution: Full refund / Exchange (different size or color) / Store credit
- Repack the item in the original mailer it arrived in.
- Include your invoice inside the package.
- Seal the package well and use tape if needed.
- Attach the prepaid return label
- Drop the package at your nearest Pósturinn office or Póstbox, the postal staff will scan the QR code on the return label to register and track your return shipment back to us, If you cannot access the portal, contact us at: support@springandrepublic.com
- Return items take up to 5 business days to reach us and be inspected.
- Alternatively, you can exchange your item in person at our premises: Goðanes 6, Unit 105, 603 Akureyri.
3. Condition of Returned Items
To be eligible, items must be returned to their original condition:
- Unworn
- Unwashed
- All original tags attached
- Free from odor, stains, makeup marks, deodorant residue, or visible damage
Items should only be tried on as you would in a physical fitting room. We reserve the right to refuse returns that show signs of wear beyond what is necessary to inspect the item.
4. Your Return Options
Exchange (Different Size or Color)
Once we receive your returned item, we inspect it within 1-2 workdays and ship your exchange.
- Pósturinn will notify you when your exchange is ready for collection and the shipping fee to pay before delivery
- Exchanges are subject to stock availability
Store Credit
- Store credit is issued as a code valid for 24 months from the date of issue
- Store credit cannot be exchanged for cash
Full Refund
- Refund is issued to the original payment method
- The cost of the returned order (equal to your original shipping fee) is deducted from your refund
- Original shipping fees paid at checkout are non-refundable
5. Sale Items
- Sale items are not eligible for a refund
- Sale items can be exchanged for the same item in a different size or color, subject to stock availability
- If no suitable exchange is available, store credit will be issued valid for 24 months
- This does not affect your statutory rights in the case of a manufacturing defect
6. Gift Items
- Gift items are not eligible for a refund
- Gift items can be exchanged for another item of equal value to the original purchase price, subject to stock availability
- If no suitable exchange is available, store credit will be issued to the gift recipient
- Store credit is valid for 24 months from the date of issue
- This does not affect your statutory rights in the case of a manufacturing defect
If you received an item as a gift and do not have access to the original order details, contact us directly at support@springandrepublic.com with the order ID found on your gift receipt and we will assist you.
7. Faulty or Defective Items
In accordance with Icelandic consumer law, you have a 2-year right to claim for manufacturing defects from the date of purchase.
If you believe your item is defective:
- Contact us at support@springandrepublic.com
- Include your order number, a clear description of the issue, and photos of the defect
If the defect is confirmed:
- We will replace, or refund the item in full
- No return shipping cost will be deducted
- You will not be charged for shipping the replacement item
Normal wear and tear, misuse, improper washing, or accidental damage are not considered manufacturing defects.
8. Exchange Process & Timeline
- All exchanges are processed after we receive and inspect the returned item
- Once approved, your new item is shipped within 2-3 work days
- You will receive an email confirmation at each step: return received, inspection complete, new item shipped
9. Refund Timing
- Refunds are processed within 5-10 work days of receiving and approving your return
- Refunds are issued to the original payment method
- You will receive email confirmation when your refund has been processed
10. Non-Returnable Items
- Items returned outside the 14-day window
- Items that do not meet the condition requirements in Section 3
- Socks with a broken sealed label for hygiene reasons (this does not affect your rights in the case of a manufacturing defect)
