A legal minimum wage and a wage someone can live on are not the same thing. In large parts of the global garment industry, that gap is wide, and quietly accepted as normal.

We don't accept it as normal. That's why we ask each of our suppliers for wage information.

Where clothes are made matters. Our production is based in Portugal, within the EU’s regulated labor framework. Workers are protected by national law, with paid leave and overtime protections. Portugal's textile industry has national collective agreements. We ask each of our suppliers whether their workers are covered by them.

This sets a strong baseline. But we don’t rely on that alone. We work with factories we know, visit, and verify, and request documentation where possible. Because even in low-risk regions, responsibility doesn’t outsource itself.
